Which areas do you cover?

Our standard tariff includes a round trip radius of 20 miles (starting and finishing at our base in Birmingham B6 7HH), however additional mileage can be undertaken at an additional fee. Vintage and Classic cars can be transported by trailer, anywhere in the UK.

How do we make a Reservation?

Choose which vehicles you would like to reserve

    1. Check the availability of the cars you require by either – Telephoning 0121 356 5088, sending an email to or visiting  our offices in Birmingham (click here for directions)
    2. After confirming that the cars you want are available, one of our experienced reservations team will
      offer assistance with the planning of your transport itinerary, and will create your unique booking record.
    3. At this point a deposit will be required, which can either be paid over the telephone by credit or debit card, or in person to our office.
    4. A written contract and itinerary will be sent to you.

    How and when do we pay?

    Methods of Payment
    Cash, Any Major Credit Card, Any Major Debit Card

    A small deposit per vehicle is required at the time of booking.

    This can be paid either over the phone by credit/debit card or cash in the office  

    Please note that deposits are non-refundable.

    Remaining balance to be paid in cash to be paid to the chauffeur, at the first pick up point on the wedding day.

    What are the Terms and Conditions of hire?

    Deposit and Balance
    Reservations are not confirmed until the agreed deposit is received.
    Deposits are non refundable
    Cancellation of vehicle hire must be made in writing.
    A sum equivalent to 50% of the hire fee will be payable if cancellation is made within 1 month of the wedding date.
    Journey Details and Changes
    Journey details will be agreed verbally, and confirmed in writing at the time of booking. After this point any changes to either timings, locations, or contact telephone numbers, should be advised in writing to Home James, at least 1 week before the wedding date.
    Hire Period
    The standard hire periods are for either 1 hour or 3 hours, from the time of arrival at the first pick up point to the time of drop off at the last drop off point, unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking and stated on the booking confirmation.
    Any additional hire fees are payable on the wedding day.
    Agreement to additional hire may not be possible if the vehicle is due to continue to a subsequent reservation.
    Damage to Vehicles
    The client named on the booking confirmation, accepts responsibility for the conduct of all passengers, and after being presented with written and/or photographic evidence, agrees to compensate ‘Home James Chauffeurs Ltd’.
    Damage to vehicles, caused by passengers
    The removal of any items from the vehicles ie C.Ds, floral arrangements, champagne glasses. Vehicle valeting, deemed necessary due to the action of passengers. Loss of revenue, if vehicles are unfit for subsequent hire, due to the actions of passengers.
    In the unlikely event of vehicle breakdown, Home James will (time permitting) make every effort to secure a replacement vehicle, either from their own fleet, or from that of another company.
    If a replacement vehicle is supplied. If a replacement vehicle cannot be supplied, a full refund of fees, will be made.
    Home James make every possible provision for ensuring that agreed timings are adhered to. However, no compensation will be made for late journeys, which are beyond the reasonable control of Home James, or which are a result of passengers not adhering to recommended journey start times.
    Clothing and other Articles
    Home James cannot be held responsible for loss of, or damage to, clothing and other articles, either during or after the hire period
    Journey Termination
    Home James are committed to ensuring that all passengers enjoy their wedding day journeys, however the chauffeurs reserve the right to terminate any journey if they deem the conduct of any passenger to be either abusive, potentially hazardous to themselves or other passengers, to be at risk of causing damage to the vehicles, or to be of an illegal nature.

    Can you supply Transport for Guests?

    In addition to specialised wedding vehicles, Home James also operate a fleet of executive class vehicles (including luxury people carriers, mini-coaches and full size coaches) which are perfect for transporting, family friends and other guests.

    Service can include daytime transport, plus collection from the wedding reception, with multiple drop offs if required. Make sure your guests have a fantastic time at your wedding, by taking care of all of their transport arrangements, leaving them free to have a drink and enjoy the day. If required we will talk to them directly to make all of the necessary pick up/drop off arrangements etc.
